Tom Fray Equestrian Coach

Welcome to my website where you can find information about me and what I do. I'm a UKCC Level 3 and BHS Stage 4 Senior Coach and rider with over 25 years experience in the equestrian industry. I am happy to help any level of horse and rider with whatever your goals may be.

Coaching is SO much more than just turning up once a week and telling you to sit up taller, shorten your reins, stay straight and kick a bit harder. I really do care about your journey and helping you to achieve your goals.

So please get in touch if you'd like to book a coaching session, discuss schooling or competing your horse or with anything else equine related.

Tom's Philosophy

A horse is the product of his training,

today's experiences create tomorrow's reactions.

I wasn't born into horses and I don't know why, but I just wanted to be close to these magnificent animals. My chance came when I was 9yrs old and I went to a taster week at a local riding school - that was it, I was hooked. Two years later, along came my first pony, I joined the Fernie Pony Club and kept going from there.

Riding a horse is the most wonderful experience a person can have. Coaching a person to fulfil their goal, build their confidence and develop their partnership is a privilege I thrive on.

A young horse's first tentative steps into the world of eventing, a rider's introduction to jumping or their first experiences of dressage are as satisfying as any competitive success. We can learn so much from our horses and we can develop so much as human beings from our experiences with these wonderful creatures. They will always challenge, surprise and delight us if we allow ourselves to truly understand them.

I have made it my goal to never stop learning and to constantly strive for a greater understanding of horses and equitation so that I can help you and your horse to achieve your goals and stretch yourselves to greater success, whatever that might be!

Get in touch to see where your horse can take you - its probably further than you expect...
